Karak: The MOL Group, an international Hungarian-based oil and gas exploration company headquarter located in Budapest, has launched ‘FEMMe’, a new scholarship programme for 27 nominated universities of six countries also including Pakistan.

This scholarship programme is mainly designed for female students who are chasing degrees in the fields of geo-science, petroleum engineering, chemistry, petrochemicals as well as other fields of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) studies.

From Pakistan, the brilliant female students of University of Engineering and Technology: Peshawar, GIKI: Topi, Quaid-e-Azam University: Islamabad, Bahria University: Islamabad, NED: Karachi and UET: Lahore are eligible to apply for FEMMe Scholarship.

The “FEMMe” offer talented female engineering students an opportunity to build up their skills as well as to extend their knowledge in the oil and gas industry and to realize the actual potential.

Ali Murtaza Abbas, the group regional advisor MEA and Pakistan said that:


“At MOL Group, we are dedicated to strengthening the culture of assortment by supporting an environment that permits international workforce of different backgrounds, experiences as well as ideas to contribute to jointly attain the results without any boundaries.”


Selected outstanding female students will receive a scholarship of worth EUR 5,000 for academic year, a travel as well as participation grant to attend international oil and gas conference, and also a chance to visit MOL Group’s assets and see oil & gas operations in authenticity.

After the completion of their studies, the receivers of scholarship will also receive an opportunity of employment from MOL Group to work on company projects.

According to the issued press release, other states, the aspirants of which are welcome to apply for this scholarship programme, are Croatia, Hungary, Slovakia, Italy and Russia, said a press release.
