ISLAMABAD: National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) has been marked among 150 world’s top young universities under the age of 50, in a ranking unveiled by Times Higher Education (THE) United Kingdom.

NUST is the only educational institute from Pakistan who has been featured among THE 150 Under 50 universities list who have progressed under 50 years of its age across the globe. NUST, established in 1991, now keeps 9,808 students of which three percent are international students while the ratio of female-male is 27:73.

NUST has grabbed the position because of its outstanding educational quality services, exceptional faculty, international perspective, generating revenues from the industry, research and citations.

THE, a dominant UK-based magazine has published the topmost 150 young universities list on the basis of same calibrated performance indicators as grouped for THE world university rankings to provide a balance and broad comparison that can be trusted by the students, academicians, university leaders, industry and even the governments.

The performance indicators were grouped into five capacities including teaching, research, citations, industry income and international outlook.
