NUST College of E&ME holds open house, job fair yesterday

Annual open house and job fair was held yesterday at College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (E & ME), National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST). Federal Minister of Science and Technology, Rana Tanveer Hussain, participated in the event as chief guest.

 In his speech he stressed on the establishment of relationship between industry and academia, for the fast growth of science and technology in Pakistan. He also emphasized on the importance to adopt a culture of entrepreneurship in this state.

 During his address he also shared his views that the country can only move towards self-sufficiency and can enhance its economy if our businesspersons pay their full attention on engineering zone.

He also highlighted that the engineering universities were the main points for the excited beginning of those activities.

Federal minister also took a great interest in the projects of students that were related to the regions of renewable energy as well as energy management, radars, unmanned air or ground vehicles, prosthetic limbs, composite materials, automotive technology and also the ethnic software development for engineering applications.

He also highly appreciated the work performed by young engineers and also congratulated the engineers on their admirable functioning.

While conversing to the audience present in the event, the Commander NUST College of E & ME, Brigadier Aftab Ahmad Khan Lughmani, explained the importance of Open House for the aspirants as well as for the industry. He had also show up the attainments of his students. He highlighted the quality characters of the graduates of E&ME College and also highly appreciated well qualified and dedicated faculty of the institute.

Approximately 75 representatives from more than 35 companies took part in this event in different dimensions. Several companies hold interviews in the afternoon and few of these universities also hold job tests.
