NUML organizes Chinese languages competition

Islamabad, ‘Chinese Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition’ was organized for the promotion of Chinese language among the students to enable them to enhance their skills and knowledge.  

The competition was organized at National University of Modern Languages and the students from Roots International schools took part in it. The contest was chaired by Chinese Ambassador Liu Jian.

For this purpose, students were asked to deliver a speech on the topic “My Dream about China” in which lots of students made speeches in Chinese language and threw light on different aspects. In second round the answer questions session was conducted by juries and asked the student to present something in the Chinese talent show.

Students from Roots International Schools present cultural dances and Chinese songs and proved their skills in Chinese language. Ambassador Liu Jian awarded the prizes among the winners of the competition which was set by the Embassy of China. He said on this occasion that China is progressing in every sector and aims to provide the best educational facilities for a bright future.  

He further said that from a long time China and Pakistan are working with each other in several fields like economics, commercial, cultural development and other areas.

A well up-to-date medical college is being set up at the Government College University GCU Lahore with the immense donations given by the group of renowned Old Ravians.

GCU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman revealed this news at the campaign of the GCU EFT. The sum of Rs 20 million were collected for the deprived and needy students of the university. Federal Minister for Law Ahmar Bilal Sufi, Lahore High Court Justice Farrukh Irfan Khan, Adviser to Punjab Chief Minister Zia Haider, EFT Secretary Dr Khalid Manzoor Butt and renowned Old Ravians businessmen across the country were also present on this occasion.
