Karachi, The Annual Examinations- 2010 for Class IX and X, Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi (BIEK) will commence from March 24.

A Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi press release stated that a decision was taken in this regard by the Steering Committee for Education, Sindh. The controller of examinations and chairmen of all educational boards participated in the meeting.

In order to curb the cheating culture, the participants also gave approval for the new question paper format. From this year onwards, 20 per cent of the question paper will be based on objectives, 50 per cent would have short questions and 30 per cent descriptive questions would be a part of the questionnaire. BIEK is already following this pattern and has prepared five different question papers for the annual examinations.

Meanwhile, practical exams are schedule after the theoretical exams and results would be announced by July 31.
