Quetta, The Baluchistan education department has announced to set up two new boards of intermediate and secondary education (BISE) in Zhob and Turbat districts this year.
According to the sources, Rs100 million had been allocated in the current provincial budget for the project aimed at facilitating the students. The students belonging to the distant areas have to cover a long distance and travelling cost to visit the provincial capital for submission of examination forms and other matters. The new boards will facilitate them in pursuit of education.
Provincial government has taken other initiatives in the education sector; as 100 new primary schools would be made functional besides 50 primary schools to be upgraded to the middle level during the current fiscal year. A cadet college will be set up in Panjgur district.
An integrated policy has been planned for capacity building of teachers on modern lines, enabling the community and private schools through the Baluchistan Education Foundation.
