Entrance test for admission to government as well as private sector medical and dental institutions of Punjab will be held on 30th August 2015 in 13 different cities of Pakistan. Test will be held at sharp 09:00 AM in different examination centres of the province.

Pro-Vice-Chancellor of UHS, Prof Dr Junaid Sarfraz Khan, at an orientation seminar organized by the varsity on medical colleges admission test at Allama Iqbal Medical College on Thursday said that the kits of entrance test comprising of application form, information booklet as well as the other related stuff, would be available at the University of Health Sciences and also at  other 14 government sector medical universities as well as colleges of the province from 1st August 2015 whereas the last date for submission of applications would be August 8th, 2015.

Prof Junaid said that similar to the earlier years, the Punjab government would allow 50 % expenses for every applicant who would appear in the test. Every applicant would be charged only Rs 500 for the complete admission procedure.

The medical college entrance test would be held at Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rahim Yar Khan and Hasan Abdal on 30th August 2015.

The candidates will be permitted to select the city from where they wish to appear in the test. Though, the centre once allotted will not be transformed subsequently. Approximately 2,000 aspirants as well as their parents attended the seminar. AIMC Principal Prof Mahmood Shaukat was also present there.

 While replying to a question, UHS Pro-VC alleged that first selection list for the government sector medical colleges could be displayed on 30th October 2015 according to the rules and regulations of PM&DC. After the display of first list, all medical institutes of private sector could publicize their admissions.

 There are almost 3,022 MBBS open merit seats in 17 government sector medical institutes while 175 BDS open merit seats in 3 government dental colleges of the province.

 Moreover, there are nine seats (only for female) reserved for the aspirants of Sindh, six for the aspirants of KPK, 26 seats for Baluchistan, 49 seats for Azad Jammu & Kashmir, 64 seats for Gilgit-Baltistan, 17 seats for FATA, 85 seats for international aspirants on regular fee basis, 76 for international aspirants or self-finance basis, 20 seats for disabled candidates, 61 seats for apsirantsof 6 under-developed districts of Punjab, 01 seat for Cholistan whereas 01 for Afghan immigrants living in the province.
