Karachi, The entry tests for admissions in medical colleges are scheduled to be held in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Nawabshah and Larkana simultaneously on October 30. Tests would be held for 1,700 seats of MBBS and BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery).
There are 700 seats of MBBS and BDS in Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), 350 in Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS), 250 in Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University, Larkana, 200 in People’s University of Medical and Health Sciences and 100 in Lyari Medical College.
In this regard, Sindh Health Minister Dr Sagheer Ahmed has asked the vice chancellors of all the four medical universities of Sindh to ensure transparent, proper and adequate arrangements for conducting entry tests for admission to medical colleges.
In a meeting, the minister asked all the VCs of medical universities to make proper seating arrangements for the parents accompanying their children at the entry test centers. Dr Sagheer Ahmed directed the authorities concerned to deliver admit cards to the candidates well in time. He also reviewed the security arrangements for the safety of candidates.
The meeting further decided that National Testing Service (NTS) would declare the results through display within 72 hours of the test. Test will be held at Ojha Campus of DUHS in Karachi, Jamshoro Campus of LUMS, Public School Sukkur, Police Training Ground Larkana and People’s University of Medical and Health Sciences, Shaheed Benazirabad (Nawabshah).
