Lahore: The official result of the entrance test for admission to the government as well as private sector medical and dental colleges in Punjab will be announced on or before September 7th, 2016.
The answer keys to the question papers containing various colour codes were uploaded on the official website of University of Health Sciences on evening of August 28th after the test was conducted at 27 centres established in 13 major cities of Punjab.
“The test results are being compiled at present and will be declared on or before Sept 7,” UHS Media Director Muhammad Atif told Dawn on Sunday.
Total 56,272 candidates (36,542 female while 19,730 male) had appeared in the entrance test at the centres established in Lahore, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rahim Yar Khan, Rawalpindi, Sialkot as well as Hasan Abdal.

There are 3,405 MBBS seats in 17 public sector medical colleges and 216 BDS seats in three public dental colleges of Punjab. There are around 3,500 MBBS and 800 BDS seats in 27 private medical colleges and 12 dental colleges of the province, respectively.
Mr Atif said that the candidates scoring 82% or above aggregate marks in accordance along with the formula of Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) will be eligible to apply on `open merit basis.’

Such candidate will opt for the colleges of their choice by submitting admission forms from 3rd October to 15th October 2016. The form, together with the prospectus, will be available free of cost at UHS, Lahore, Nishtar Medical College, Multan and Rawalpindi Medical College, between 3rd October and 15th.
The first selection list for medical and dental colleges will be displayed on 28th October 2016.
