Gujranwala, A student who got the 1st position in Board of Intermediate and secondary education Gujranwala, in the annual Secondary school in Humanities Group is Amna Sattar. She is still waiting for her first prize from PM. Yousuf Raza Gilani, which he had promised on the announcement of results on 6th of August, 2011.
This Brilliant student achieved 94% marks in the SSC examination but she is still waiting for a prize from Prime Minister as he promised on the result announcement. On the other side Chief Minister of Punjab Mian Shehbaz Shareef had not only given cash prizes to the toppers but also arranged an educational tour for the top students to Galiyat.
Amna Sattar is the daughter of a poor person who is a tea and pakora seller. She belongs to a village named Manan of Tehsil Shakargarh, Dist Narowal.
She and her sister both are the talented students, result came on 02 Aug, 2011 and Amna got 989 marks out of 1050 and her sister Iqra Sattar got 963 marks and she stands on the 4th position in BISE Gujranwala.
After the announcement of the results the Punjab Govt. announced prizes for the position holders. PM Gilani was representing the Federal government and he also announced prizes. After a week Punjab government gave prizes of Rs 400,000 with gold medals, but Amna Sattar is still waiting for her prize from Yousuf Raza Gilani as he promised.
More, the Father of Amna Sattar, Mr. Abdul Sattar told that he also visited the Gujranwala Board for this purpose where he was told by the officials that an application had also been submitted to PM house. The elder brother of Amna Sattar is resident of Islamabad and he also visited the PM house and submitted an application, he was told that Amna will be given a prize soon but no intimation from PM is given till now.
