KARACHI, The registrar of the University of Karachi has announced that the entrance tests for MS (surgery) and MD (medicine) for the academic year 2009-10 will be conducted on Sunday from 10.30am to 1pm at the respective centres.

The list of candidates eligible for the entrance tests will be displayed on the KU website ‘www.uok.edu.pk’on Friday.

The candidates holding an MS/MPhil degree or equivalent are exempted from an entrance test, he said.

BCom admit cards The KU controller of examinations has announced that the admit cards for the BCom (external) annual examinations 2009 have been dispatched to the eligible candidates on their given residential addresses.

A statement issued here on Thursday said that the candidate who did not receive their admit cards by Friday could seek a duplicate from the KU External Unit, Room No.1, Silver Jubilee Gate, No 1 on Saturday and Sunday between 9am and 1pm.

They would have to produce the original receipt of the examination form, two passport size photographs, original registration card and computerised national identity card to receive the duplicate, it said.

Fuuast admission date The Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (Fuuast) on Thursday extended the date for the submission of admission forms and fee by January 27.

An announcement to this effect said that classes at the university would commence from January 25.
