Lahore, King Edward Medical University (KEMU) organised a workshop on “Quality Assurance in Examinations” in collaboration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) on Wednesday. The workshop was attended by 50 medical teachers of the university. Dr Amina Ahmad, Programme Director, Medical Education, CPSP, apprised the participants of the importance of quality assurance in medical education. She threw light on different aspects of modern and transparent examination system. On this occasion, Prof Muhammad Zafarullah Khan, Vice Chancellor KEMU, said that Department of Medical Education of international standard had been established in the university. He said that the teachers’ training courses would be organised under the umbrella of this department on regular basis. “To maintain the standard in medical education is a need of the time,” he added.
