SWABI: Japanese ambassador Takashi Kurai has said that his state will continue to deliver the financial aid to Pakistan to impart quality education to youth, particularly girls.

Takashi Kurai visited Shewa village here on Monday to start up a middle school for girls, which is established along with the financial aid of Japanese government.

The first secretary for economy and development of Embassy, Teruaki Nagasawa, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Minister Atif Khan as well as Senior Minister Shahram Khan Tarakai were also present on the inaugural ceremony. The school constructed at the cost of almost Rs10 million has already started offering admissions.

While addressing on the event, Mr Kurai said that the Japanese government will continue to assist Pakistan in education zone, especially in developing education infrastructure in rustic regions. Pakistan and Japan had been enjoying good relations and the two countries helped each other in good and bad times, he added.

On inaugural ceremony he also said that health and education were the top monasteries of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf-led provincial government. He further said appointment of the teachers through the NTS had been criticized by the national as well as international observers. He said the government will never ever compromise on education of youth who were the future of the country.

Education Minister Mr Atif said that PTI government had been working to strengthen the educational institutions. “However, we have not attained 100 per cent goals but we are enough closer to the target” he said.
