International Islamic University Islamabad has been ranked at 351st position among top 500 Universities of Asia in QS Asia University rankings 2019. It is a matter of great pride and huge appreciation for hard work of the University. The University has marked its position in the prestigious international list for the first time.
The rector of the University, Prof Dr Masoom Yaseenzai has welcomed the news with immense happiness. He praised the academic staff and university administration for their hard work and dedication. Further, expressed his hope that his team and students will keep up the hard work there are doing to get IIU a better position than this in years to come.
IIU is at 14th Pakistani University in QS Asia University Rankings 2019. The Rector of IIU said that the research work of University in the field of science and technology has enabled the University to secure this position. He has been selected as the Rector of IIU for the second time on Monday.

The Universities world-wide engage their students in exchange programmes, to study abroad at one of their institution's partner institutions. Recently, GCU, Lahore College University and NUML University have signed student exchange programmes with International universities. Studying in foreign University for research courses are mostly funded by University or Govt. Scholarships. Every year, universities send a few of its selected students to study abroad for research programmes.
