
Lahore, A large number of Intermediate Part 2 students protested against the delay in rechecking of their papers on Tuesday. The students entered the Board office of Intermediate and Secondary Education Lahore by breaking main gate and staged a protest there. They demanded the authorities for immediately issuance of their results after rechecking of papers.
Students conducted this protest after errors in online results by the Punjab Education Board, rejecting the results. Board authorities called the police to control the situation who assured the students that genuine results would be issued soon after rechecking of their papers. At this, the students ended the protest and disseminated.
On the other hand, the Punjab government issued show-cause notices to at least 13 professors who had refused to recheck of the papers of students of the Government Science College. The government said strict action would be taken against the professors and lectures who had defied the directives.
Punjab government will issue more show causes notices against the professors who had refused to recheck papers. Meanwhile, All Professors & Lecturers Association rejected the show-cause notices issued by the government against them. They said the professors and lecturers would continue the boycott of rechecking of the papers of eight education boards. They promised to ignore the show cause notices.
