Lahore, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Lahore (Lahore Board) and other boards of Punjab province cancelled the inter part 1 result 2011 which was announced on October 17, 2011.  The results were cancelled due to violent protest of students all over the province due to mistakes in the result.

CM Shahbaz Sharif ordered the boards of Punjab to announce the result again after manual marking of papers within 45 days and on the other side the provincial Education Minister Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman said that result would be announced within 2 months.

The inter part 1 result was announced on 17 October while part 2 result on 10 September and lots of problems were found in both results. Lahore board has to change the position holder very next day of inter part 2 result, similarly some students were given marks more than total marks of the subject.

A great number of students were applied for the rechecking of inter part 2 results 2011 but due to lots of applications the Punjab boards failed to accommodate all application within few days. Due to this students started protest and after the intervention of police they got violent. In Gujranwala students set ablaze the board building and due to which all the records of Gujranwala Board burnt to ashes.
