Lahore, A three-member delegation of Higher Education Commission (HEC) visited University of the Punjab Lahore. The delegation members were Sulaiman Ahmad, Hakim Ali Talpuri and Sanaullah. HEC delegation held a meeting with Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran and also meets editors of PU research journals.
In this meeting, the delegation discussed different issues regarding different problems and enhancing the quality of research journals. The University Vice-Chancellor said there is need to promote quality research and now research culture is flourishing in the university and budget for research had been increased from Rs 40 lacs to Rs 7 millions.
