HEC Committed to Develop Higher Education Sector of Balochistan

Senator Usman Khan Kakar, Provincial President as well as the Central Secretary of Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party called on Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairman of Higher Education Commission at HEC Secretariat. The matters concerning to the universities of Balochistan province were conferred during the meeting. The Chairman informed the Senator regarding several HEC enterprises for development of higher education in the province that also involves various scholarships and R&D opportunities that are available for faculty members, researchers and also the aspirants, especially those individuals who are unable to afford higher education on their own expenditure.

The Chairman also provides the detail of programs under the Aghaz-e-Huqooq-Balochistan Package and also the Prime Minister’s Youth Program. He moreover added that “We believe that importance of youth in any society could not be destabilized and hence every possible step is being taken to expedite our youth”.

Regional President of Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party Representative Usman Khan Kakar, called on chairman of HEC Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed and discussed the matters belong to the universities of Balochistan province.

Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed also told the guest that the Federal Government has announced to open one university or at best its sub-campus in every region of the state. He also added that HEC will inaugurate eight new sub-campuses in various parts of Balochistan over the next 3 years.

Representative Usman Khan Kakar esteemed Higher Education Commission for taking the much-required change because of its initiatives through the last decade. He guaranteed that entire support of the provincial government as well as his party for more developing the university education in Balochistan.
