Lahore, A Professional Competency Enhancement Programme for Teachers concluded at the Government College University (GCU) on Thursday after lasting for 24 days. The intensive training, organised by the GCU and Higher Education Commission (HEC), brought together participants from six leading universities. The training was programmed on three broad areas of practice that were pedagogy, communication and research. Addressing the concluding ceremony, GCU Vice Chancellor Prof Khalid Aftab said the biggest challenge being faced by the universities in the 21st century was the quality human resource. He also urged the teachers and professionals to actively participate in such trainings to keep themselves at par with modern needs of their profession.
