The Ministry Of Information Technology And Telecommunication (MOITT) in cooperation with Google is going to launch a nationwide CS First Program in Pakistan to encourage the young students in learning coding along with many other computers or IT related skills.
For initiating the CS First Program in Pakistan, Tech Valley and Telecom Foundation are affiliating with Google and MOITT. The program is a global advantage by Google because of which the kids between the age of 09 and 14 are offered the computer skills to make the future better.
How The Program Will Work
The CS First program is powered by a free programming tool, Scratch which is developed by MIT. The tool will help to enhance the creativity level among young students. Thousands of students across 75 countries of the world have enrolled in this CS First Program by Google.
First of all “Train and Trainer” program will be initiated in which the teachers from the major cities including Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi will be trained by Google and tech Valley. However, in the next phase of training, the certified trainers of Google will educate the young minds across the world.
Benefits Of CS First Program in Pakistan
Shoaib Ahmed Siddique, the Federal Secretary of MOITT said that this initiative is the way to make the government of Pakistan digitally enable.
Umar Farooq, the CEO of Tech Valley said that this “CS First Program” is the comprehension of the dream to introduce digitalization in Pakistan.
