Girls outshine in Peshawar HSSC exams 2015

Girls, mostly from the Jinnah College for Women, outshined in the inter exams by clinching the overall top 3 positions as the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Peshawar announced the intermediate results 2015 on Monday.

 Six among the seven girl candidates, who shared the top 3 positions, were from Jinnah College, Peshawar. Farah Gul of the college topped the board by obtaining 1002 out of the total 1100 marks.

 Other four female candidates with one from Islamia College for Girls while the other three were from Jinnah College shared the second position, by obtaining 995 marks. Those aspirants include Haseena Fazal, Hina Shams, Maria Ahmad as well as Shafiq Tanveer.

 Two other third position holding girls, Alvina Karam and Zainoor Fida, also belonged to Jinnah College, Peshawar who obtained 994 marks.

 HSSC result was announced at an award distribution ceremony arranged on board location. Vice-chancellor Islamia College University Ajmal Khan was the chief guest in this prize distribution ceremony. Position holder aspirants were awarded along with cash prizes, approval certificates as well as shields.

The controller examination said that more than 96, 000 aspirants were appeared in both first and second years of the examination.

 Almost 46,909 aspirants were appeared in the first year. Of them 32,093 aspirants qualified the exam along with the passing percentage of almost 68.1. Likewise 49,192 aspirants were appeared in the Part-II as well as 35035 passed the exams along with the passing percentage of almost 72.11.

The chief guest in his tri-lingual brief speech acclaimed the position holders and advised them to uphold their stride of hard work. He moreover said that only with the hard work they could outshine in life. He moreover said that “It does not matter whether you qualify for the professional institutions or not. You can reach on the top even in common fields through your hard work”.
