A total of 240,088 students appeared and girls outshined the boys by taking top positions. The performance of government schools was better than private candidates.
In the Science Group, a total of 76,397 boys appeared and 25,278 of them declared successful with pass parentage of 33.09 percent. Likewise, as many as 53,158 girls appeared and 26,548 of them could pass the exam with pass parentage of 49.54 percent.
In the Humanities Group, as many as 23,052 boys and 33,224 girls took part while the pass percentage remained 22.18 percent and 42.33 percent respectively. Hence once again girls outperformed boys by getting excellent marks.
Controller of Examination Tanvir Ashraf revealed that as many as 240,088 candidates appeared out of which 87,334 could pass the exams by making pass percentage of 36.38%.

In Bahawalpur board, a total of 31,010 candidates were registered for the exam and 82,718 of them appeared in the examination and 31,010 could pass the exam with a pass percentage of 37.49%.
In Sahiwal Board, the exams were organized for the students of Okara, Pakpattan and Sahiwal districts in which 73,310 students participated and pass percentage remained 36.82%.
Students who have obtained less than 33 percent marks will be considered supply holders and must appear in exam besides the class 10th exams next year.
