GCUF to hold its 4th convocation on Dec 02

Faisalabad, Government College University Faisalabad GCUF is going to organize its 4th convocation 2013 on Dec 02, 2013 at 11am at GCUF to award degrees to its distinguished graduate, passed out during the year 2012, 2013 by the honorable Chanellor.

All the successful graduate of Bachelors, Masters, MPhil and PhD programs up to the year 2013 are requested to register themselves. For registration please contact Dr. Hidayat Rasool incharge registration/ Director Advanced Studies till Nov 20, 2013 during office hours. The candidates may also register online through the university website www.gcuf.edu.pk.

 The convocation registration fee and degree fee may be submitted in any branch of National Bank of Pakistan.  The rehearsal will be conducted on Dec 01, 2013 at 10am and will be compulsory for all the recipients of degrees and medals. Those who do not attend the rehearsal will not be allowed to attend the convocation. The graduates may arrange the gowns on their own, however a limited number of gowns will be available on rent (first come, first server basis).

Last date of registration is Nov 20. Full dress rehearsal will be done on Dec 01.

GC University, Faisalabad is a leading center of learning and research and has got a significant status. The GC University firstly started functioning as a primary school in 1897 in the present building of Govt. College for Women, Karkhana Bazar, Faisalabad. Further it was promoted to High School and Intermediate College in 1905 and 1924 respectively.

Then it was upraised to the degree level in 1933 and postgraduate disciplines were introduced in 1963. The university got the degree awarding status in October 2002.
