Lahore, The Government College University Lahore has received the Best Library Award 2012 and 224 latest key publications from the International Society for Science and Religion (ISSR), Cambridge, UK. GCU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman and Dean Faculty of Science and Technology Prof. Dr. Ikramul Haq have expressed pleasure on the tremendous achievement of GCU Library as it now stands among the top 150 institutions of the World to have received this award.
GCU Chief Librarian Abdul Waheed said that 224 most recent reputed publications awarded by ISSR, UK to GCU are on the subjects related to natural sciences and spirituality. He said that ISSR Cambridge, UK chooses libraries for the award through a competitive and peer review process based on present capacity, commitment to research, technological support and plans for scholarly activities related to science and religion.
