GCU wins All Pakistan Co-curricular Festival

Lahore, The Government College University Lahore has won the All Pakistan Co-curricular Festival 2011 with overall nine distinctions. As many as 30 institutions from all over Pakistan took part in the festival organized by the Government College Muzaffargarh. In English Debates, GCU student Fahad Anjum secured the first position while Jdhaun Aslam stood third. Hafiz Ali Virk won the Punjabi Debates.

Adnan Farooq stood second in the Urdu Debates. In Kalam-e-Iqbal Competition, Qasim Raza stood third. In Qirat, Hafiz Umair bagged the second position. Hafiz Ali Virk won the Nazam Competition. Adnan Farooq stood third in the Ghazal Competition. The overall team trophy was also lifted by the team GCU.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman has congratulated the GCU Debating Society on its tremendous achievements.
