GCU organizes quiz competition 2013

Lahore, Government College University (GCU) Lahore, Ravians Quiz Society organized the Master Mind Quiz Competition 2013.

Around 133 candidates from the several departments of the university contributed in the competition. GCU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman presided over on this occasion while famous anchor Noor-ul-Hassan was invited as chief guest. Usman Mustafa from the Persian Department shine in the contest and got first place.
 
 
Vice Chancellor Prof Rahman said such competitions can enhance the abilities of students and enable them to explore the things in practical life as well.  At the end he admired the efforts of the winners and encourages them to contribute in such competitions.

The Government College, Lahore got the status of a University in 2002 and became a seat for higher learning. It was renamed as the GC University Lahore. The GCU is working to enhance and promote quality of education across the country.

This Institution is one of the oldest seats of higher learning in the Muslim world. GC University joins old traditions and modern educational standards to meet the international standards established the by persons like Dr. Leitner, philosopher the poet, Dr. Muhammad Iqbal and the Noble Laureate, Dr. Abdus Salam.

The University offers B.A/B.Sc. (4-year Hon.), M.A, M.Sc. (in some selected disciplines), M.B.A., M.Phil, and PhD programs in all major disciplines. The University with Motto: "Courage to Know." try to make the students intrusive, thoughtful and independent in chasing knowledge.

GCU also takes distinct procedures through discussions, co-curricular activities, writing of term papers and studies to make the learners confident in their understanding of advanced themes and topics. Therefore the university took steps to carry every individual into the majority of the grand academic culture of the GC University. During the academic life every individual must have to get benefit from the academic, logical and cultural environment of this renowned educational institution.
