Lahore, The Government College University Lahore has opened admissions to its 22 MPhil/MS programmes. The admission process will be completed in the month of September.
GCU Registrar Shahibzada Faisal Khursheed said that the candidates can obtain admission forms from September 1, 2010. However, he said that the last date for submission of forms is September 9, 2010 and no form would be accepted after this date.
The university registrar also told media that the GCU entry tests and interviews for MPhil/MS programmes would be held from September 17, 2010 onwards. He said that only those students would be called for interviews who qualify the GCU entry test.
He said that the university is offering MPhil/MS programmes in Botany, Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Economics, English, MS Forensic Chemistry, History, Islamic Studies, Industrial Bio Tech, Mathematics, Microbiology, MS Banking & Finance, MS ESME, Persian, MS Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Philosophy, Physics, Political Sciences, Psychology, Statistics, Urdu and Zoology.
Shahibzada Faisal Khursheed told media that the candidates must have qualified GAT (General), conducted by NTS, at the time of admission and attested copy of result card also be enclosed with the form. He said that those appearing in GAT (General) test in September may also apply now. However, he said, that admission will be offered only to those who will pass NTS GAT.
