Lahore: Government College University (GCU) on Tuesday inaugurates the “United Nations Wall” on the campus to observe the 70th anniversary of United Nations in Pakistan.

The director of United Nations Information Centre, Vittorio Cammarota and the head of Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, Stefanie Burri inaugurated the wall painted by a group of fine arts students of varsity. This step is targeted at spreading peace, education as well as awareness.

While addressing on the event, Vice Chancellor Prof Hassan Amir Shah appreciated the messages on the wall.

Vittorio Cammarota lay emphasis on that the universities in Pakistan should hold workshops to raise the awareness among aspirants regarding the objectives of the UN.

During his address, Stefanie Burri also said that UN will provide internship opportunities to the aspirants of Government College University in its 21 different organizations.

Afterwards, Vittorio Cammarota and Prof Shah gave away the certificates to central person Amna Anwaar Khan and the students as well.
