The Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science & Technology (FUUAST) has announced to open its admissions for morning programme in the first week of December 2011, for the academic year 2012. Advertisement will appear in newspapers on November 27.
FUUAST Vice-Chancellor Dr. Mohammad Qaiser chaired the 16th meeting of the Academic Council held on Saturday announced this decision. The academic council also approved the admission policy of the university for various degree programmes. The meeting approved the allocation of seats for admission in various teaching departments of the university.
The academic council meeting decided that this year admissions in degree programmes of the university would be carried out under a centralized admission committee and admissions in the departments of Business Administration, Computer Science, Pharmacy, and Geology would be given under the National Testing Service.
The academic council also gave approval to courses of PhD in Pharmacy, Economics, and BBA, MBA, Executive MBA programmes of the Business Administration department.
The meeting setup an eight-member committee for establishing faculty of Pharmacy in the University in accordance with the directions of the Higher Education Commission (HEC). The committee would submit its recommendations on the issue within 15 days.
