Lahore: A resident of Lahore who murdered his daughter and her boyfriend in honour killing has been permitted to go free after he presented himself and his partners in front of a judge.
Faqeer Muhammad, inhabitant of Lahore, was accused of shooting dead his daughter Kiran Bibi as well as her suspected boyfriend Ghulam Abbas, for honour because of their relationship in 2014.
He was then brought to the court because the mother of Kiran filed a complaint against him. Faqeer admitted the murder with his son, Muhammad Illyas as well as his nephew Muhammad Tahir.

However, here, the family used a legal loophole to help accused to walk free from the case
As Muhammad and the mother of a girl Azmat Bibi were the legal heritors to the girl they could pardon anyone accused of killing her so Mrs Bibi and another son Waqas then filed an application to have Faqeer (Kiran’s father) forgave, which he agreed to and was accepted by the court as the new law cannot be applied with hindsight.
After the release, parents of Kiran took a mile more and used another legal right cum flaw to release the accomplices Tahir and Ilyas.
The father of dead in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Nadia Ikram Malik siad:
‘The deceased, Kiran Bibi, was my daughter. She was single at the time of her murder. There are no other legal heritors of the dead except her mother, Azmat Bibi, and me”.

‘I have forgiven the suspect persons in the name of Almighty Allah, and have no opposition to their acquittal. I also ignore my right of Qisas (retribution) and Diyat (blood money).’
On the other hand, reflecting the decision Court advocate Muhammad Qasim told media sources:
‘It is surprising that an accused is forgiving him for murder charges. It is nothing however a joke with law.’
