ISLAMABAD, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said that Education is the key to success while addressing the Position holders of FBISE to award them at PM Secretariat, Prime Minister said that education and health are the main priorities for Pakistani students to excel in all field.
Continuing his speech he said that only an educated nation can survive in such a competitive era. Gilani announced the position holders in 2010-2011. Prime Minister awarded the successful students with Gold Medals, cash prizes and laptops. He advised them to serve the Pakistan as a role model.

PM Gilani was also addressing the parents He said that parents must understand the responsibility to educate their children to build a good nation. PM Gilani requested the private sector to help the Govt to improve the education system in Pakistan and He also announced that we are setting up a new Cadet College at Dadyal (Azad Kashmir). He told that overseas Pakistanis should help us to fulfill our dreams.
PM Gilani assured that there should be no discrimination among the different boards of Pakistan and all the position holders will get the same reward. He also advised the students that they should get the necessary skills from the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTEC) to compete the world.
He also advised the students to give due respect to their teachers as they are their Moral Parents and Nation builders. He recalled his teachers and said that he had a great respect to his teachers who taught him. He said that Govt success depends upon the policies made by it and Govt is committed to provide the best possibilities to the young generation.
Admiring the female students PM Gilani told that the number of female students is much higher than the male students and told that we have already allocated the 10 percent quota for women in government sector and hoped that they compete in all fields.
PM Gilani gave 4 gold, 5 silver and bronze medals to the top students of metric and 12 gold, 11 silver and 13 bronze medals to the students of HSSC. The student who got the 1st position in SSC 2010 in Science Group is Hareem Nisar and Afshan Zahra in Humanitarian Group. While in SSC 2011 Arooma Majid in Science Group and Saad Jan in Humanitarian Group got first positions.
In HSSC 2010 Hina Tanveer got 1st position in Pre-Engineering and Sameen Shaukat, Tayyab Mehmood and Azka Zainab got 1st positions in Pre-Medical group and the position holders in 2011 were Fatima Khalid in Pre-Engineering Seema Kanwal in in Pre-Medical, Maria Hamadani in Science General Group, Anab Sundus in Humanities and Saima Faiz in Commerce Group.
Minister of Professional and Technical Training, Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada was addressing the students, he advised them to give due respect to their teachers and work hard to earn a good name for their country.
Chairperson FBISE, Shaheen Khan told that 48,773 students out of 61,015 were successful in SSC with percentage of 79.94, while in HSSC 35,117 remained successful out of 46,355 with percentage of 75.76 percent.
