Lahore, Dr. Salman Malik Kamboh is not only 1st MPhil in the field of Physiotherapy in whole Pakistan But also 1st MPhil Graduate of King Edward Medical University in all its different disciplines.
He is currently working as Physiotherapist at Mayo Hospital Lahore along with visiting Lecturer at College of Physiotherapy Mayo Hospital and College of vision and Allied health sciences of King Edward Medical University, Lahore.
On this occasion Vice Chancellor of King Edward Medical University Dr. Asad Aslam Khan, Principal College of Physiotherapy Mr. Khalid Saeed Khan ,Dean of Allied health sciences KEMU & Program Director of MPhil Physiotherapy Prof. Dr. Syed Muhammad Awais , Program Director of PhD of King Edward Medical University Dr. Mulazim Hussain Bukhari, Head of Physiotherapy department of Lahore General Hospital Dr. Umoal Bunin Congratulated to Dr. Salman Malik Kamboh on his splendid success and further added that this success is the actual success and milestone of the field of Physiotherapy in Pakistan.
Principal College of Physiotherapy Mr. Khalid Saeed Khan said that Dr. Salman Mlaik Kamboh is not only the pride of our College but also the pride of our profession and said we are always in need of his devoted services for the profession .he further added that its good luck of Physiotherapy department of Mayo Hospital that such hard working, devoted and dedicated officers are part of this department.
Dr. Mulazim Hussain Bukhari Program Director of PhD of King Edward Medical University said that during whole MPhil Study Dr. Salman Malik Kamboh remain very keen and hard working in his course work and research work and I wishes him for his further higher studies like PhD in the field of Physiotherapy.
Dr. Salman Malik Kamboh said that all this success is special blessing of ALLAH AL MIGHTY and special prayers of Mother and all his teachers .He said he was very thankful to his supervisor Prof. Dr. Syed Muhammad Awais, Program Director of MPhil Physiotherapy at KEMU who remained very kind and very much cooperative throughout my research work and he guided me with the best from his vast spread educational experience of many years.
Dr. Salman Mlaik Kamboh also highlighted the problems which the Physiotherapists are facing in the Province of Punjab .He said that Physiotherapy is such an important part of health care system but it is being ignored by the health department right from the beginning .There is no proper service structure ,no proper service rules and no proper pay package even not any promotion criteria for the Physiotherapist in the Province .only 77 Physiotherapists are working in government sector in the such a big province which is an almost negligible.
All the Physiotherapy colleges of Province are without Physiotherapists Teachers due to which educational level is affecting badly .He requested from the Khadim-i-Ala Punjab Mr. Shahbaz Sharif with the hope that he will take keen interest in the issues and problems of Physiotherapists to stop Brain Drain of this field to abroad.
At the end he warmly appreciate the role of King Edward Medical University and Mayo Hospital in the up gradation of field of Physiotherapy .he said King Edward Medical University playing vital role in the field of research not only in the field of Physiotherapy but also in all fields of health.
