Lahore: Chief Minister of Punjab Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday said that education was the fate of children.

He said that it was the responsibility of the government to provide each child along with education as well as comprehensive programme was being executed for this purpose.

He said all out resources were being utilized for enrolment of every child. He said quality education was the right of children and utmost efforts were needed to ensure this right.

He said that there was a need to provide the youngsters along with the advanced education.

He said children working at brick kilns workshops petrol pumps and hotels would be registered whereas child labour will be eradicated at any cost.

He moreover added that financial aid will be given through Khidmat cards to children working in workshops petrol pumps as well as hotels if they went to school.

This statement was given by him during heading over a meeting to review the pace of progress on educational development programme for the promotion of quality as well as advanced education here.

The meeting reviewed progress of execution on reforms programme promotion of education in schools construction of extra classrooms and improvement of registration.

The meeting also gave approval to improving the amount of scholarship to the female candidates of high schools in South Punjab as well as in some other districts.

Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif said that maximum resources were being given for delivering education to children.

He also said that after brick kilns children working in workshops petrol pumps and hotels would be enrolled.

He said a strategy was being planned for the admission of working children to schools.

The Chief Minister directed that immediate measures should be taken for achieving the target of enrollment and efforts are made for attaining the positive results of the investment of billions of rupees on the future of nation.

He gave endorsement to a number of decisions for certifying 100 percent registrations and said that all out resources will be made available for the admission of maximum number of aspirants particularly girls to schools.

He instructed that direct steps should be taken for capacity building of Punjab Education Foundation (PEF).

He moreover added that required funds would be made available for the admission of maximum number of girls to schools.
