Karachi, The Board of Secondary Education Karachi has extended the last for submission of enrolment forms for Class IX till September 20, said Secretary BSEK Hoor Bi Mazhar on Tuesday. The applicants could submit the forms till the given date without any late fee.
Prior to the announcement, the last date for the form submission was September 01. The secretary said that owing to unavoidable situations, including conversion of a number of schools into relief camps and a bad law and order situation in the city, the students had faced problems submitting their forms on time. The decision was made to facilitate the applicants, she added.
Meanwhile, central chairman of All Private Schools Management Association Sindh, Syed Khalid Shah, and other representatives of the body had also met with chairman BSEK Syed Anzar Hussain Zaidi recently to request him to extend the last date for the submission of enrolment forms. The members of association had said to Zaidi that students of many pubic and private schools would not be able to submit their forms on the due date and requested him to increase the deadline in this regard.
The schools' administrations, students and their parents had remained disturbed due to a bad law and order situation in the city during the last month or so, they had said.
