BISE Lahore Chairman Appointment delayed as well as Inter Result

Lahore, Appointment of the chairman at the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Lahore has been delayed due to management issues as well as the Inter Part 1 Result of Lahore board has been delayed.

This post was advertised with other similar three posts at BISE Faisalabad, Gujranwala and Sargodha. The other three posts are filled but the post on Lahore board is still vacant and it is delayed due to some management issues. Now the board secretary is having additional charge on this post.

BISE Lahore needs a top administrator to control the mismanagement in recent results of intermediate and SSC part 1 examinations. Due to mismanagement, board received a large number of applications to recheck the papers of both Intermediate and 9th class. Many unpleasant issues took place in the board and the students and parents faced many difficulties in getting the correct results.

Sources said that the summary of appointment of the four boards was put up to the chief minister Secretariat in july2011 with a panel of two candidates for each post. Other three posts were approved and filled but the Higher Education Dept was told to make a separate summary for Lahore board.

Sources privy to the developments told that Maqsood Mumtaz former additional secretary at top of the list as principle candidate and Ashiq Hussain Jaffery as alternative candidate from school side were thought eligible and were submitted by the Higher Education Dept to the CM Secretariat.

Sources told that another summary was submitted to the Chief Minister Secretariat but still no action has been taken. Now this summary includes a panel of three candidates, on the top Maqsood Mumtaz then Ashiq Hussain and then Muddasir Iqbal.

According to the sources it is told that the candidate at the top of the list was selected by the committee and the department. Mr. Maqsood Mumtaz was thought to understand the function of the board by his previous assignment of having additional charge of chairman of Lahore Board.
