BISE Lahore 9th Class Result: Pass percentage 35.42 only

Lahore, The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore on Wednesday announced the result of 9th class with the passing percentage being 35.42, which according to educationists was a low passing percentage.

Approximately 230,797 candidates applied in the exams while 227,351 candidates appeared and 80,546 were declared pass.

In the Science group, 112,118 candidates appeared and 57,497 candidates were declared pass and the passing percentage was 51.28 percent. In the Humanities group, 115,233 candidates appeared and 23,049 were declared pass with the passing percentage being 20 percent.

Total 170,347 regular students appeared in examination through Lahore Board, 70,824 declared pass.

Total 57,004 private students appeared in examination through Lahore Board, 9,722 declared pass.

The pass percentage of regular candidates is 41.57 while pass percentage of private candidates is 17.05.

All educational boards of Punjab province announced the 9th class result on 25 August, 2010.

201,924 students appeared in 9th class examination through Gujranwala board while 73,093 were declared pass.

The result of 10th class has been announced on 4th August 2010 with the pass percentage of 60.79% while last year this percentage was 61.99%. The result of Intermediate Part II will be announced on 4th September 2010 and Part I on 4 October.
