BIEK matric results still unavailable for students

One week after results for matric annual exams were announced, a large number of students of students flooded the office of the Board for Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) once again on Monday, applying for the unavailability of results on the official website of board as well as on the gazette that was issued by the officials of board.

Though, the officials of board were prepared for the protest this time around; students were called in to check their results and corroborate them along with their answer scripts.

 As per the authorities of the board, the result of the aspirants who had failed to pass the exams were also to be uploaded on the website; though the result were not uploaded till the late night of Thursday, the day on which results were announced.

One of the board officials said that “usually we are not permitted to display the answer scripts to the aspirants or objections leveled against the wrong registration numbers the aspirants had put in or missing attendance,” stated a Board official.

“In few cases, they appeared at the wrong examination centers.”

 He moreover said that almost 10 schools were still to send in the results of practical exams to the BISE Karachi; the delay had unnatural results of almost 800 enrolled aspirants.

He moreover said that, BISE Karachi Board had issued the notices to the schools and also notified them of strict disciplinary action in future; however the present priority was to get them to acquiesce the marks.

The official conveying the aggravation over the protest said that a majority of protestors were not even the aspirants however had come along with them.

The officials of board also said that “the board arranged a special display of results them however they kept coming up along with the fresh arguments, hovering the baseless questions, expressing disbelief over their results”.
