Faisalabad, The Government College University Faisalabad is going to conduct two-day Allama Iqbal International Conference on Thursday (tomorrow).
 
The conference has been arranged by GCUF Urdu Department in which scholars from Pakistan, India, Turkey, England, Iran and Egypt will participate.

The inaugural session of the conference will be presided over by GCUF VC Prof Dr Zakir Hussain in which Dr Javaid Iqbal will be the chief guest. Giving details, Convener and Department Chairman Prof Dr Tahir said the second session of the conference will open at 3 pm on the day with Turkish Scholar Durmish Bulgar in the Chair in which Maqsood Elahi will be the chief guest whereas Dr Shafiq Ahmad and Muhammad Sohail Umar will be guests of honour.

Meanwhile, The Government College University Faisalabad also scheduled to conduct a two-day International Food Conference and Food and Nutrition Expo to devise a roadmap to combat challenges facing by food industry from December 11.
 
The conference is being arranged on the directions of GCUF Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Zakir Hussain in which scientists from all over the world including Malaysia, United States and France will present their research papers before the gathering of 1,000 delegates belonging to educational institutions and food industry.

Giving details, Department of Food Sciences in-charge Dr Muhammad Umair Arshad Bajwa said preparations for the event was in full swing.
The conference would also help promote departmental activities for the development of food industry, he maintained. As many as 100 stalls would be set up at the expo, he added.
