Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Azad Jammu & Kahsmir (AJK BISE) was established in 1974. BISE AJK Board jurisdiction areas are, Mirpur, Muzaffarabad, Kotli, Bagh, Poonch, Neelum and Bhimber.
The main functions of BISE AJK are to conduct and hold exams and declare results. The board has power to regulate, develop and organize matriculation and intermediate examination under its jurisdiction. BISE AJK conducts examination within its jurisdiction.
