Islamabad: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has extended the last date for the submission of admissions’ forms for its Matric to Ph.D-level programs till October 10th, 2016 in order to bring large number of people in the educational framework.
The decision regarding extending the admissions date was made by the vice chancellor of AIOU Prof. Dr. Shahid Siddiqui at the meeting which was attended by the heads of departments, on Friday.
Keeping in view the demands received from aspiring aspirants, especially from remote regions, it was decided to facilitate the aspirants to continue their further study.

It was expected that both fresh and continuing students will take benefit of the opportunity, provided to them as a special case, on payment of a minimum late fee.
The meeting also decided to hold ‘0pen Day’ on October 4th, 2016 at the main campus of university to tell the students regarding admission procedure and the academic programs being offered to them in the present semester.
The same Open day will also take place at the 44 regional offices of varsity crosswise the country next week.

Students can get the admission forms and prospectus from the University’s regional and Coordinating Offices. Computerized admission forms have already been sent to the current enrolled students.
Prospectus and admission forms of M.Phil and Ph.D level programs can also be obtained from the official website of university.
The candidates of the merit based programs are required to send their admission forms directly to the concerned department without admission fee according to the procedure given in the prospectus.
The programs have been offered on merit based includes: Ph.D, MSc/PGD Mass Communication, MS/M.Phil, M.Sc statistics and COL MBA/MPA programs.
