Islamabad: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has extended the date for the submission of admission forms for its Matric to Ph.D level programs till 30th September 2016 in order to accommodate maximum people in its network of education.

Now the candidates can look for admission without late fee till the newly announced date by officials of university. This decision was made by the Vice Chancellor of university, Prof. Dr. Shahid Siddiqui on the demand of prospective candidates and to facilitate the continued aspirants. These demands were received from various parts of the country.

VC expected that large number of people will take benefit of the extension in the admission date to continue their study, through distance learning system (DLS).

He furthermore said that AIOU is taking all the necessary steps to bring maximum number of people in this exceptional network of education.

Interested candidates can get admissions forms and prospectuses from the main campus of university, 44-Regional Campuses as well as over 100- Coordinating Offices crosswise the country, moreover prospectus and admission forms of all programs can also be obtained from the official website of university www.aiou.edu.pk. Eligibility criteria as well as other details of all programs are given in the related prospectuses.

Admissions forms together with the required fee can be submitted at the nation-wide branches of First Women Bank, Bank Alfalah, Allied Bank, Muslim Commercial Bank (MCB) as well as at the designated branches of National Bank of Pakistan.

The detail of designated branches is available in the prospectuses and also in the Regional Offices. However, the Director Admissions advised the aspirants to submit their fee in the bank by their own. Fee in the form of bank draft/pay order will not be accepted.

The candidates of the merit based programs are needed to send their admission forms directly to the concerned department without admission fee according to the procedure given in the prospectus. Last date for receiving the merit-based admissions’ form is September 30th, 2016.

The merit based programme includes: Ph.D, M.Sc/PGD Mass Communication, MS / M.Phil, M.Sc statistics as well as COL MBA / MPA programs.
