AIOU announced packages for low-grade employees

Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), Islamabad on Wednesday has declared a package of inducements for its low-grade employees for the betterment of their working environment, and assisting them if providing best possible services to the aspirants and attaining the target of quality education.

This package of inducements for the low grade employees of the university was proclaimed by the Vise Chancellor of AIOU, Dr. Shahid Siddiqui at the oath-taking event of Employee Welfare Association (EWA). This inducement package consists of up gradation of medical and accommodation facilities as well as the promotion of employees on next scale. According to the announcement made on the ceremony, the Departmental Promotion Committee will meet this week. 3 more blocks will be built in the residential colony for raising the living space. Furthermore, a community centre will also be established.

Under this newly announced package for employees, the working situations of the daily wagers and also of the laborers will be improved. University will also take some important steps for easy payment of monthly allowance to its retired employees. For this reason, a scheme has also been made for the payment of wage to its 70,000 tutors through a local bank. The vice chancellor of the university also highlighted the measures taken in the last few years for the progress of the university and promotion of its exceptional image.
