Islamabad: First group of almost 80 Pakistani aspirants will chase classes in their respective disciplines from the coming fall session in Hungary. The State Minister for Education of Hungary Dr Laszlo Palkovics and the chairman of Higher Education Commission (HEC) Dr Mukhtar Ahmed discussed it in a call on meeting between both the personages.
According to the issued press release, the two countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) last year in this connection for granting 240 scholarships to Pakistani students providing them an opportunity for getting education from Hungarian institutions.
Dr Palkovics expressed his wish to make a long-term relationship under the supervision of Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme. He also said that among the list of 48 states, total number of applications from Pakistan is the highest.
Dr Mukhtar Ahmed in a meeting appreciated the Hungarian government for offering the scholarships. He moreover gave a brief introduction of higher education sector of Pakistan.
