76 Fata students complete higher secondary education under USAID programme

As many as 76 aspirants from Fata received their Higher Secondary School certificates in a ceremony that was held on Thursday.

Secretary of Economic Affairs Division Muhammad Sethi as well as US Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission Director John Groarke distributed certificates to the aspirants who completed their studies over the USAID Fata Scholarship Programme.

A special ceremony was held here yesterday, where numerous aspirants had shared highlights of their life-changing experience and also their aspirations for more studies.

The USAID Fata Scholarship Programme, began in 2008, offered scholarships to the aspirants exhibiting academic aptitude, a wish to learn in the English medium, interest in an arduous study program, and was able to attend the boarding schools situated outside their close region.

Mission Director Groarke at the ceremony claimed that “I can think of no well example of the US long-term relationship to this exceptional state, and its shared vision of a protected, vibrant, as well prosperous Pakistan. These scholars displays what is possible when our two countries work together,”

 Hamid Ullah, a scholarship receiver from Khyber Agency who went on to study at Islamia College, Peshawar, claimed that, “Education has opened up my vision. I wish to be a doctor and I am studying with mu full efforts to get admission in renowned medical college. I can never acknowledge the people of America enough for providing me with this opportunity.”

 Another student Zakir Ullah, who acknowledges from Bajaur Agency and also studied at Islamia College said, “We deliberate ourselves very lucky that we got this scholarship. It delivered us the opportunity to study at one of the most well-known colleges in Pakistan.”
