5 female students injured by firing of guard

Mingora: 5 female students of a government sector primary school meet with injuries when the gun of a watchman went off accidentally in the Madian area of Swat district on Thursday, said official sources.

According to the official sources, those girl students of the Government Primary School in Madian were busy in their study when the gun of the school’s watchman went off mistakenly. As a result, 5 female students of the school sustained injuries.

The injured students were identified as Shabnam, Neelam, Arina, Madina and Safia. The injured aspirants were shifted to a hospital in Madian from where they were moved to the Saidu Sharif Hospital.

The hospital authorities said that the students were out of danger. The police took the watchman of school into custody who was later released after the parents of children forgave him.
