Islamabad:  The government of Afghanistan has released 3 Pakistani aspirants following their illegal arrest in Lugar province where they were on a university’s media project, shooting the ancient and historical sites.

These three students namely Khalil Aman, Shah Mohammad and Bazigh Khan from Riphah Institute of Media Sciences (Islamabad) were assigned to visit Afghanistan on the legal visas and documentation, and had a known programme of visiting the province of Lugar.

Though, they were busy shooting the historical sites and cultural events when they were arrested by Afghanistan security authorities and were taken in custody, in spite of the fact that they were in tenure of valid documents, passports authorized along with visas to visit Afghanistan, however they were taken into custody and then placed behind the bar for 9 days where, though not tortured, however were in a mental distress and were investigated by Afghan authorities.

The three students after reaching Islamabad expressed their gratitude as well as their sincere thanks to the management for their well-timed involvement for getting released them as well as arranged to cross the border from Afghanistan into Pakistan.

The students on arriving at Riphah Institute of Media Sciences were greeted by their co-students, Director of varsity Rehan Hasan as well as by faculty members and expressed their gratitude towards the Afghan bureaucrats support.
