Islamabad: A group of 23 male and female students from various schools of twin cities (Rawalpindi-Islamabad), left here on Wednesday to participate in the summer camp for international students that is to be organized in Beijing from July 14th to 24th, 2016.

This visit of Pakistani students was mutually organized by the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad, Beijing Education Bureau and Beijing International Education Exchange Centre.

All the students were sent off by the wife of Chinese ambassador to Pakistan Madam Bao Jiqing.

The president of Pakistan Foreign Office Women Association Najia Aizaz Ahmed, teachers as well as parents of the students were present on the event.

While addressing the send-off ceremony organized at the Embassy, Madam Bao shows the great pleasure and joy on the participation of Pakistani children in the camp and said:

A main part of her tenure here is to assist Pakistani people, particularly middle school teachers and aspirants to explore what China is like.


40 Pakistani middle school teachers were also sent to Beijing on a training program on Monday.


The participation of students in the summer camp will be an opportunity for them to extend their horizon about China that is of great natural variety along with beauty from the highest mountains on earth to the tropical branches as far as to the South China Sea.

China is home of distinct ethnic groups, having extensive range of traditional lifestyles, she added.

She moreover said experiencing the rapid development and refurnishing itself every day, not just retaining its profound history and traditions, however also leading international innovations. Madam Bao expected that the children will enjoy their trip to Beijing that conjoins historical heritages harmoniously along with advanced dynamics.

Madam Najia Azaz Ahmed, wife of foreign secretary acknowledged the Chinese embassy for providing them a chance to see the Chinese rich cultural and historical traditions.

Syed Ali Haider, a student, who participated in the summer camp last year held in Beijing, said visit to Beijing was most mesmerizing and excited.
