Lahore: TECHNICAL Education & Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) has trained 2,164 male and female teachers during fiscal year 2009-10 through different teachers training programs.
Addressing to a certificate distribution ceremony for teachers of DAE Mechanical and Architecture technologies, Chairman Tevta Saeed Ahmad Alvi added Tevta’s mission is to organize such teaching programs to enhance professional skill of teachers. The ceremony was held at Government College of Technology Railway Road on Tuesday.
He further said that latest training methods would upgrade teaching skills of teachers and it would be transferred into the trainees. The chairman said the training of teachers of GCT Railway Road was a part of five years Tevta-JICA project. He said Rs 580 million grants in aid by JICA would be utilized for installation of equipment/machinery, construction of building and setting up of CAD/CAM room of teacher training.
