About Change - in Education
Change - in Education is a non-governmental and not-for-profit
autonomous registered organization under Section 42 of the Companies
Ordinance 1984, under the regulatory supervision of Securities
and Exchange Commission of Pakistan.
Change - in Education is a social and development sector initiative
by Pakistan's leading private education system Roots School
System to help sponsor educational change across public education
system, born out of our blazing passion for reformation of Education
thus bridging the public and private sector quality divide.
As education in Pakistan is no more an urban elite phenomenon,
our core purpose is to revolutionize the public and community
education system and connect by bridging the quality gaps. Brain
child of the visionary education reformist and change specialist
Mr. Faisal Mushtaq, Change - in Education has been founded to
deliver quality, affordable yet sustainable education for the
masses of Pakistan.
Our Vision
Change - in Education thrives to revolutionize the existing
education system, by reforming the public education system by
filling the gaps and providing sustainable solutions. It envisions
quality education delivery ready to make its mark as agent of
Change. Change - in Education aims to transform the education
landscape of Pakistan by providing exemplary Education, Training,
Research, Advocacy and Consultancy in the field of Education
Development.
Message from the Founder Director
“Change - in Education is a social and development sector
initiative by Pakistan's leading private education system Roots
School System. Born out of our blazing passion for reformation
of Education, it aims to help sponsor educational change across
public education system, thus bridging the public and private
sector quality divide. As education in Pakistan is no more an
urban elite phenomenon, our core purpose is to revolutionize
the public and community education system and connect by bridging
the quality gaps. By this we mean to deliver quality, affordable
yet sustainable education for the masses of Pakistan.”
For the last 22 years we have sponsored educational change,
opportunity, achievement, excellence and excitement across schools,
communities, towns, cities through our student centered education
system. Roots today is beyond education and schooling; it is
changing the national education paradigm and landscape through
its award winning curriculum, beyond the classroom teaching
and learning initiatives, teacher training programs, qualifications,
results, achievements, thus promoting social change and community
re-engineering. The foundations of our perspective at Roots
are the things we have always stood for celebrating, diversity,
creativity, vitality & excellence. The world is changing
dramatically and the things that make Roots different are now
more relevant than ever before. Creativity has made Roots an
innovator in so many fields, but we recognize that at the heart
of our creative culture is the ability to thrive in a complex
and ever changing educational environment. For this we have
set on sail to create 'Change - in Education' to promote quality,
fairness and equality for all on our core values and national
priorities in support of the National Education Policy.
Change - in Education envisions reforming the current education
landscape of Pakistan by providing sustainable solutions for
the benefit of the public education system. Our inspiring ideas
include promoting public private partnership across district,
provincial and federal level in Pakistan. Change - in Education
is committed to coordinate donor sponsored national initiatives
and to provide for sustainability of projects and programs.
We envision making our mark as the catalyst for national educational
change in the fields of educational development, research, advocacy,
training, delivery and empowerment. Change - in Education is
committed to the ideals of the 21st Century Education. It represents
an organization promoting training, research, advocacy, consultancy
and ideas for support for Public Private Partnership and to
strengthen National Public education system.

in advancing of our vision for education as per national priorities
and to move forward with our ideas to bring about more visible
and sustainable hange in the public & community education

Background & History
“Change – in Education is a derivative of Roots
School System (RSS), one of the largest private sector education
systems in Pakistan, which has been established since April
1988 by Mrs. Riffat Mushtaq (Aizaz-e-Fazeelat), a dynamic and
revolutionary teacher motivated with enthusiasm and missionary
spirit in the field of education.”
Roots School System has gained recognition as an International
educational institution recognized at National as well as International
level commonly labeled as a school of achievement, excellence,
excitement, opportunity and discovery. Roots School System is
a model institution styled on the modern educational system
of International standards especially designed to meet the requirements
of the child in his early, formative years by involving the
three E's EXPOSURE, EXPANSION AND EXPLORATION.
Change - in Education today has helped establish benchmarks
for quality education promotion, fairness, and community mobilization
in the public and rural education sector of Pakistan. Today,
Change - in Education is growing rapidly as an independent social
sector educational organization by taking up challenging projects,
collaborating and partnering with various national and international
education organizations and community stakeholders, maintaining
a diverse portfolio of projects and initiatives. Change - in
Education is continuously evolving itself for the educational
challenges of the 21st century, as it strives to make its mark
in the educational landscape of Pakistan as a leading Education
Development Organization, thus sponsoring larger social change.
