Al-Ameen Educational Society

Al-Ameen Educational Society was started in the ear 1966 by Dr. Mumtaz Ahemd Khan, the founder along with has bunch of dedicated workers. Infact, the first college of the society, The Al-Ameen Arts, Science & Commerce Degree College was started in 1968 in the old campus of about 1.25 acres in rented building behind Government Medical College, Bangalore. The college is named as Al-Ameen which is one of the attributes of Prophet Mohammed (PBHU) which means “Trust Worthy”. The college has only 33 students on roll in the first year PUC course affiliated to Bangalore University. In the very next year, the college started Degree courses affiliated to Bangalore University. It has co-education and was an aided institution based on secular ideals. The results went on scaling with one or two ranks in the degree examination of Bangalore University in the initial years.

The college campus was shifted to the present location at Hosur Road, opposite Lalbagh Main Gate, Bangalore having 2 plots covering an area of nearly 6.35 acres. In the first plot, there are 6 colleges viz, Al-Ameen Arts, Science & Commerce Degree College, Al-Ameen Institute of Management Studies, Al-Ameen Institute of Information Sciences, Al-Ameen College of Pharmacy, Al-Ameen College of Law and Al-Ameen College of Education. In the second plot, a couple of years away, there is a primary and higher Secondary school & a Pre-University College. The total strength of both campuses is 5000.

Al-Ameen Educational Society has nearly 135 institutions spread throughout the state of Karnataka and in neighboring states of India with19 branches serving the cause of education to nearly 32,513 students and a total number of around 2000 employees in the following institutions:
